Bath Time

Jordan decided to capture Hannah's least favorite time of day. Hannah HATES bath time!

So Tired!

Hannah was up all night, and now she is exhausted! Jordan was with her all night, so the two of them are sleeping it off now. Hopefully she'll be better for me tonight! We are alternating nights until Jordan goes back to work.

One Week Old

This week has really flown by! Hannah had another great night last night - she only woke up twice, had her bottle and went right back to sleep. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be a lasting trend. I got 9 hours of sleep!

Daddy's Girl

Jordan discovered that if he puts his nose up to Hannah's face, she will try to eat it. It is their new favorite game. Hannah was awake a ton today, it was so nice to get to interact with her instead of just watching her sleep. We did some tummy time on her activity mat and she seemed to enjoy it.

It was a sad day for Hannah because her Aunt Stephanie went back to New York. She can't understand why she isn't being held 24 hours a day now. Luckily, Aunt Stephanie will be back in less than two months - we miss her already :(

Chunky Monkey

We took Hannah for her first check-up today and unlike most babies that lose weight in their first week, Hannah has gained 3 oz! She now weighs in at a hefty 5 lbs. 9 oz.

Night Two

Last night was our second night at home, and thanks to Softa Linda I got 6 hours of straight sleep! She watched Hannah for us from 10pm until after 2am, and then Jordan stayed with her until 5am. It's now my shift and she is sound asleep. I think we are making progress on the night/day distinction. She slept most of the night. Looks like we can keep her, it was touch and go for a minute there ... :)

She has been more alert each day, and we are having such a great time with her!

Hannah at Home

Here are some pictures of Hannah at home. All of her clothes are HUGE! We bought a few premie outfits today, but hopefully she will grow into the rest of her wardobe soon.

Tomorrow we go to the pediatrician for her first check up. She is eating great, and sleeping really well. The only catch is that she sleeps all day and is up all night. I guess we will be catching a lot of great infomercials for the next few weeks!

She's Here!

I'm too exhausted to write much at this point, but Hannah is doing great! She is 5lbs. 6 oz. and 18.5 in - she is such a peanut. Labor and delivery went very smoothly. I had an epidural at 3 cm, took a nap and woke up fully dilated a couple of hours later. Here she is, less than one hour old:

Baby Belly in the Snow

We took advantage of the nice weather and took some outdoor belly shots. These are most likely the last ones... Thanks for being our photographer Linde!

Hannah's Room

Here is my first attempt at using our new video camera from Sara and Ian - looks like I need lots of practice! The little blue and pink elephant on her dresser is the flat screen TV my dad bought her. Doesn't every newborn need a flat screen?

D-Day Has Been Set

I had my weekly appointment and non-stress test this morning, and everything is looking good! My fundal height was 36 cm, which is only 1.5cm behind where I should be at this point. We are catching up! My next ultrasound is a week from tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see her estimated weight.

Since she is on the small side, and they can't determine if it's genetic or growth impairment, they don't want me to go past my due date. So, today they scheduled my induction for February 19th, meaning she'd likely be delivered on the 20th - my due date. Now that the induction is scheduled, I am so anxious for her to get here! Hopefully she'll decide to come on her own sooner...

The nursery is complete, the linens are all washed, the bottles and binkys have been sterilized - we are ready!
