Last Swim Class

Hannah had her last swim class yesterday, and we are going to take a break until spring.  Since it was the last class, they got to play in the fun pool complete with lily pads, a water slide and shooting water.  Hannah and I were both soaked, but it was well worth it because she had a blast.

Halloween Party

Hannah had all of her friends over for a Halloween party last night, and our attempt at getting 15 infants and toddlers to pose for a picture was pretty comical.  Here's what I got:

Hannah's First Pumpkin

Hannah decorated her first pumpkin today, and seemed to enjoy coloring it almost as much as putting the caps back on the markers (a favorite activity).  Looking forward to a full weekend of Halloween events!

Two Geishas

We went to the Halloween parade in Birmingham yesterday and ran into the Pulis'.  Charli and Hannah were both Geishas, and as usual they were so excited to see each other!  Lots of hugs, followed by fighting over who got to buckle the straps in Hannah's stroller - an activity that has never interested Hannah until Charli wanted to do it...  Hannah's hair started off in a ponytail with a bun, but it's not quiet long enough so it ended up quite messy.

Zoo Boo

We had a fantastic time at Zoo Boo with the Pulis' and Hays'.  The girls LOVED being fed while cruising through the Zoo in their Radio Flyer wagons.  They ate BBQ potato chips, Smarties, Skittles, Twizzlers, Oreos, Kit Kats and finished off the evening with apples.  The moms may have sneaked a few bites too... At least we ended on a healthy note!  The boys were happy because they were selling beer, so it was a fun night for all. We definitely plan to return next year for another sugar rush.  The girls got out to explore the reptile house, and then raced through the grave yard and played their favorite game, Ring Around the Rosie.  Thankfully, the exhaustion from the trip through the Zoo was able to counteract the sugar high and Hannah went straight to bed.

Potty News

I asked Hannah if she wanted to go pee pee on the potty tonight, and she said yes.  I sat her on the potty and asked her if she went pee pee, and she said yes. Sure enough, I picked her up and she had peed on the potty - amazing!  She has been telling us when she needs to go #2 for about a month now, and just recently started telling us when she needed to pee.  I am not ready for potty training!

We went to Cranbrook over the weekend, and finally got a nice family photo!

Sunny Day at the Park

I took Hannah to the park Friday afternoon for her favorite activity, watching the ducks.  The weather was beautiful, and the lighting was perfect for a mini photo shoot.

Disney on Ice and Playdate with Charli

Hannah and Charli got to spend a lot of quality time together this week!  On Wednesday, Jordan and I both had work functions, so Hannah went to Charli's after school.  Jess sent me the cutest picture of the girls riding Charli's train.

Then on Friday, we headed to Disney Princesses on Ice at the Palace.  Hannah was more interested in eating and playing with Charli than watching the show, but at least she didn't have any tantrums.  We only stayed for the first half so she could make it home for nap, but she had a blast while we were there.

Fall Activities

This morning we raked leaves and let Hannah play in them, and this afternoon we went to Diehl's Orchard for a hayride, visit to the pumpkin patch, and delicious donuts.  The highlight for Hannah was the green lollipop she picked out herself and getting to hang out with her cousin "Macys".

Swimming Lessons

We started swimming again a few weeks ago, and Hannah is really enjoying it! She likes to jump into the water, and sing songs as she practices swimming techniques. Her favorite activity is drinking the pool water and chewing on the water toys. Not sure if I have mentioned it in the past, but Hannah loves to eat chemicals. Lotion, soap, hand santizers, chlorine - she can't get enough. Sorry for the poor video quality, it was shot from my phone.

Jumping

Hannah playing on the neighbor's trampoline... and letting me know she needs to go potty.

Fall at the Zoo

Hannah, Linda, Macy, Sara and I all met up at the Zoo today to enjoy this fantastic weather. As usual, Hannah went nuts when she saw her cousin Macy. She is obsessed!

It was really exciting to see how much Hannah's interest level has changed over the past few months. She really enjoyed each exhibit today, and her favorites were the meerkats and the penguins.  Hopefully we will make it back again before the weather turns.

Gymnastics

Hannah put her sliding skills to work at gymnastics.

Roeperfest

We took Hannah to the Roeper Family Picnic (called Roeperfest in my day...) and she had a really nice time.  They had a book sale, and we bought her an entire paper grocery bag of books.  Then we headed outside where they had a giant bounce house filled with bubbles, and Hannah enjoyed picking up the bubbles, and then eating them.  After that, we went up to the Stage I playground (kindergarten for non-Roeperians) and played on the playground.  She loved the sand box and play structure.  The look of excitement/shock is when she saw the double slide after crawling through the tunnel.
