Denver 2012

We went on our annual trip to Denver to visit Grandpa Martin, Aunt Lori, Uncle Mike and cousins Dora and Larry.  Both girls were great on the plane, and Ella took a turn sitting in Hannah's seat to watch some TV.  As usual, she was mesmerized.

We stayed at a great house in Cherry Creek so the kids could hang out.  Hannah got to share a room with Safta which she loved.  Lilah and Ella got to hang out on the playmat and were both excited to be with someone their own age.

We took Dora with us to the Natural Science Museum and explored the discovery zone.  Hannah got to uncover dinosaur bones in a "tar pit".  We then headed to a special live lizards and snakes exhibit and almost got eaten by a snake.  After that, we watched a Sesame Street movie in the plantarium on space exploration and Ella was mesmerized.  She sat on her Uncle Mike's lap and never took her eyes off the characters.  Hannah loved it too, and sang along to all of the songs.

We got a ton of family time, and Ella and Hannah both enjoyed hanging out with Great Grandpa Martin.  Ella got to relax on his lap, and he and Hannah caught up holding hands on a walk home from the park.  All of the cousins had a great time playing at the park and kicking around the soccer ball.  Hannah is still dressing herself, and frequently has her shirt on backwards and shoes on the wrong feet.  She has also been dictating her hairstyles.  She loves dress up too - the stranger the outfit the better,

Ella and I snuck outside to get some fresh air while everyone was sleeping, and she got to wear the Patagonia vest from her cousin - Thanks Ali!  She is so close to sitting up on her own, but thinks it's a great game to fall over and have her mommy catch her.

We also got to catch up with some friends at a great park in their neighborhood.  It was gorgeous with the mountains all around us.

Picnic at the Park

We met Mina for a picnic dinner at the park, and Ella got to swing with her Mina.  Shocking that Hannah allowed it!

Cooking at HOME!

Hannah and I cooked dinner together for the first time in our new kitchen.  It is so great to be home!

(Floors are still covered in this picture)

Crazy Clothes Day

School had a crazy clothes day, and no surprise, Hannah went over the top!  Even on crazy clothes day, Hannah found a way to stand out.  We got some great looks on our walk into school.  Not sure if you can tell from the picture, but she had four different pony tails in her hair.

Disney on Ice

Charli invited Hannah and Brooke to Disney on Ice, and it was such a fun morning!  The girls alternated standing up to dance and sharing each others seats to watch the show.

Ella's 6 Month Visit

Ella had her 6 month visit today, and hated her shots.  So sad!

We thought she was much chunkier than big sister Hannah, but their stats were pretty similar:

Ella:
Weight: 14 lbs 7 oz (10-25th %)
Length: 25.5 in (25-50th %)

Hannah:
Weight: 14 lbs 6 oz
Length: 24.25 in

Hannah-isms

Me: How was your day today, Hannah?
Hannah: It was perfect!  I didn't hit nobody and I didn't bite nobody!

What is more concerning, the bad grammar or the fact that she was proud that she didn't hit or bite any of her friends?

Jordan: Hannah, time to leave for shiva.
Hannah:  Yay, let's go celebrate!

Hannah loves a good shiva tray, and equates a shiva call with going to a party.  The highlight of her weekend was going to two shivas.

Family Time at the Zoo

So excited for the heat wave!  Can't beat 60s in early March.  We had some great snuggles with Ella and then headed to the Zoo to enjoy the great weather.  Ella slept the entire time we were there, but hopefully she will get to enjoy seeing the animals next time.
