We didn't think they'd even let Hannah on this, and certainly didn't think she'd make it to the top. We were impressed!

Ballet Camp
Hannah went to a week long ballet camp called "Ballet and Books" with Charli and Brooke. They learned ballet, read ballet books and made ballet art projects every day. The "recital" was today, and it was pretty impressive for a one week camp!

Cupcakes
Sam came over to hang out with me and the girls tonight and brought over some cupcakes. Ella ate a little, and then started smearing the frosting all over her face, then her neck, then her shirt, then everywhere! Finally, she reached over to Sam and covered her with frosting. What a good sport! Needless to say, Ella and I headed straight for the tub.

Bubbie-Zaydie Camp
While we were in Suttons Bay, Hannah got to go to Bubbie Zaydie camp with Softa, Zaydie, Lexi, Zachary, Mitchell and Macy. From the pictures Linda sent, it looks like they all had a wonderful time. I can't wait to see Hannah and hear all about it tonight!

Up North 2013
We made a fairly last minute decision to head up north for the weekend to visit Rach, Hung and Avery while Hannah went to Bubbie-Zaydie camp. Hannah has had many family trips as an only child, so we thought it would be nice for Ella too (and not to mention an easy vacation for her parents and Mina...) We drove up on Thursday and while my mom and I unpacked and picked up groceries, Ella and Jordan went to the beach. Ella loves the water and playing in the sand, and you can see in some of the pictures that she started doing "mud treatments" on her hair. No amount of baths will get the rest of the sand out! Jordan and I went out to a nice dinner with just the two of us at Martha's Leelanau Table, while Ella and Mina stayed in. After dinner, we all met up for an ice cream.
On Friday, we went to Glen Arbor to walk through Cherry Republic, do some art projects at Smock, Paper, Scissors, and have lunch at Art's. Friday night, Rach, Nancy and Avery came down to Suttons Bay for the girls to play at the beach and have dinner. We walked the girls up to the house with a horse and they were obsessed with it. Only the promise of ice cream could get them to walk back to town.

Saturday was another great day! We went to pick raspberries with Rach, Avery and Nancy (I think they ate more than we took home), and got to feed goats, llamas, and a donkey. After nap, we headed to Leland to have dinner with the Trieu's at the Bluebird and get ice cream at Harbor House. The girls even had a tea party at Nancy and Chuck's house with Avery's new tea set.
It's Sunday morning already, which means it's time to pack up and head home while Jordan gets in one last round of golf. This was such a perfect vacation! We had great weather, good sleep (thank you Ella!) and plenty of time to relax. I only wish we were here longer.

Matt and Drew's 5th Birthday
We got to celebrate Matt and Drew's 5th birthday at their baseball themed party. They had a bounce house, hot dogs and lots of sweets, so of course both girls were in heaven! Hannah got to hang out with her buddy Gino too, and the were adorable together as usual.

Walnut Lake
We headed out to Walnut Lake to take the boat out with the McAbee's, but unfortunately the battery was dead. We ended up just playing at the beach which all of the kids loved. Ella has turned into quiet the water lover and went running into the lake. She would keep walking until the water was over her head and we had to pull her back.

Sunday Activities
We had a wonderful end to our weekend! Mina and I took the girls to the Farmer's Market this morning, followed by impromptu naked pool time. Then, after nap we celebrated Sam's birthday with Grandma Marsha, the Herbsts and the Dunns.
Sleepover at Brooke's House
The Hays' were very brave and invited Charli and Hannah to both sleepover. They made s'mores and watched Tinkerbell, and somehow managed to get all three girls to sleep! Stef said she is waiting until Brooke is 10 for the next sleepover - 3 four year olds and a 2 year old makes for a challenging night!

Sports Club
Sara and Ian invited us to their swim club tonight and the sprinkler pool with water slide was a big hit for Hannah. Ella preferred the kiddie pool with Unky Ian and told me she was scared of the sprinkler pool. Ella is constantly telling me things are scary. Sara says she takes after me! Poor thing.

Nature Walk
Jordan had the great idea of taking the girls on a nature walk this morning, and Barney and I decided to tag along. I had the not-so-brilliant idea of giving them pine cones that we found on our walk (very sticky kids!). We also found a natural balance beam, watched fish in the lake, and ran around on the boardwalk. Hannah got very close to nature when she realized she had to pee and we were a 15 minute walk from the house.
