Blayne and Dale's Wedding Weekend

We headed to Kalamazoo on Friday to celebrate Blayne and Dale's wedding.  We were all so very honored that Blayne asked the girls to be part of their special day as the ring bearers.  It was such a beautiful wedding, and as usual Hannah loved being the center of attention (second to Blayne of course!).  She led her sister down the aisle, delivered the rings to Dale, and then sat quietly through the ceremony.  Ella looked a bit shell shocked, but made it down the aisle like a pro, and then left with daddy so we didn't chance detracting from the ceremony.  We headed to the party and Hannah loved her first Shirley Temple!  She also hit up the doughnut table for an appetizer :)  Ella was beat from missing nap for the ceremony, so it was an early night.  We all had a wonderful time, and were so honored to celebrate with the bride and groom!  The girls got beautiful necklaces with their initial stamped into metal circle from Blayne and Dale which were a big hit.

While we were in Kalamazoo, we also visited the Kalamazoo Valley Museum.  They had a great kids hands-on section which both girls enjoyed.

Photographer Hannah - she shot pretty much everyone at the wedding which was a great activity to keep her quiet.  Steady hand!

Another Hannah picture - future photographer?

Our New Foster Pup

We have a new foster pup, "Betty".  We are calling her Betty because of Barney and Betty Rubble.  She is a 1-2 year old Lab/Boxer mix (I think Boston Terrier/Boxer is a better guess), about 30 pounds and very friendly.  She just loves the girls and cannot stop herself from licking them.  She and Barney really hit it off, but the cats are not a fan...

She was found emaciated with a litter of pups, but despite not having any food or drink, her pups looked great when they were rescued. Betty was not in good shape, but a foster in NC where she was rescued put some weight on her.  Betty made the trek up to Michigan yesterday to find a new home. Jury is still out on if we will keep her permanently, but she is making herself right at home!  Despite Jordan's no couch rule, she has already won the battle after just a few hours here and is passed out on the couch with him now.

Tigers' Game

Poppy and Sam took us to the Tigers game today, and Hannah really enjoyed herself until she got too tired to hold it together.  She ate a hot dog, sprinkles, chocolate cake, cotton candy, and some cantaloupe, and then headed down to the main concourse to walk around with Sam.  Mom, dad and Poppy just got to relax and watch the game!  Hannah fell asleep on the way home, and Jordan joined her as soon as we pulled into the driveway.

Night with Ella

After nap, we headed to the pool to meet Softa and drop off Hannah for a sleepover. Ella took a quick dip and we were off for a one-kid night.  We went to the park for a picnic dinner with Macy, Lilah, Reese and all of the parents.  It was a gorgeous night to be outside!
