Happy Halloween 2014

Halloween was busy, busy, busy.  Ella had a parade and class party at school this morning, and then grabbed lunch with mom at Little Daddy's.  We had some great alone time, and Ella loved that all of the waitstaff had dressed up.  Ella then headed to Mina's for nap so I could help out at Hannah's class party.  They had a parade, sang songs, ate delicious treats and played games.  Hannah and I headed home to set up for Halloween night, and had a great night with friends and family.  It was another cold one, so after trick or treating on our block, we headed home for Halloween crafts, bubbles and silly string.  I think the girls' favorite part of the night was handing out candy, and Luke was laser focused on the bubbles.

Halloween Continues

We headed to a great Halloween party on Sunday where to get in to the party you had to crawl through a spider web across the wrought iron fence around their property.  Hannah made it through first, and then Ella got stuck.  She finally freed herself and started running to get to the trick or treat stations, but the last web hit her across the forehead and she went down.  Poor Ella!  Despite her bad encounter with the web, she was a champ and powered through on the way back to the car after the party.  The party had various trick or treat stations, a huge leaf pile and face painting.  The girls opted for matching butterflies.

Talent Show

Hannah decided to participate in the Fall all school talent show this year, and chose monkey bars as her talent.  Her teacher mentioned this to us at conferences, and I asked if they would be willing to set up a screen in the gym.  Thankfully, they agreed to set everything up just for Hannah's talent and she was thrilled!  Ella was so jealous that she wasn't in the talent show and is already working on a talent for the next one.

Bowers Farm Corn Maze

We enjoyed every minute of this beautiful fall day!  We started the day bouncing at David's trampoline, and then headed to Bowers Farm for Fall activities post nap.  Highlights were the pony rides and the straw mountain, but the kids also enjoyed racing through the corn maze.  Luke met us there, and as usual Hannah couldn't get enough of him.  What a wonderful day!  I am going to miss fall - they are calling for snow on Halloween.

Love the closed eyes!  I used to do this over jumps in my riding days.

Hannah has great natural equitation and is begging to start lessons, we will see.  Maybe next summer.

Corn maze fun.

Wagon ride to the pumpkin patch.

Class Pictures

Hannah had so many great photos this year that we had a hard time picking.  Ella on the other hand pulled her pony tails out just before pictures and is having a hard time smiling on command.  There is always next year!

Zoo Boo 2014

We had a great night at Zoo Boo with the Brawer/Solway/Sage/Butterwick/Borman clan.  Jordan and I got to relax and enjoy the night since we had 11 adults to chip in on chasing the kids.  Ella decided to skip part of the trick or treating to ride the carousel, and Hannah got a ride on Alex's shoulders and was sure she was the tallest person in the whole Zoo (Alex must be at least 6'4, so she could be right).  On the way out, Grandma Joanie even bought them light up toys, so we had two VERY happy little girls.  Not surprising, Hannah decided to pass on wearing her costume and decided to be an owl (owl hat + wings).  Maybe it will get some use on the 31st...

It was a wonderful night, and so exciting to meet our new cousin Theo.  We can't wait to see him again when he is awake!
