Denver for Grandpa's 95th

We headed to Denver to celebrate Grandpa Mutty's 95th birthday and had an extremely busy, but wonderful vacation. We were also here for Hannah's 6th birthday and she was over the moon to celebrate with so many of her family members.  We started the day with birthday pastries from an Italian bakery and then met up with Aunt Sara, Uncle Ian and the girls at Lollipop Park.  What a cool place! Indoor rides included a beautiful hot air balloon themed Ferris wheel, a carousel, train ride, swing ride tea cups, bounce houses and more.  We then all headed to hibachi lunch where the kids ate themselves silly.  For Hannah's birthday dinner, we went to Casa Bonita with the Bolton, Francis and Rubin clans to watch the cliff divers and play in the arcade.  We finished the night with birthday cupcakes, and a quick visit from Softa and Zaydie right before bed.  What a great day!

Friday we headed to Fort Collins to spend the day with our friends the McAbees and the kids all played so nicely.  We went to a brewery and sat outside to enjoy the nearly 70 degree weather, and then played at their house and had dinner before driving back to Denver.

Saturday we headed to Parker to see the Laurains, and even though we only see each other once a year, everyone just really clicks.  We had a great morning at the park with a pizza lunch, and then packed up our crew for car naps on the ride back.

We then headed back for the big event, Grandpa Mutty's birthday.  It was a beautiful night at the JW Marriott with wonderful food and great company.  All of the cousins had a great time racing around the big private room, and making short speeches in Grandpa's honor.  He seemed very happy to have everyone there to celebrate together.

For our last full day, we are hanging out with the Rubins and having Dora for a sleepover.  Tomorrow it's back to freezing cold Michigan.  It has been a wonderful family vacation with two very happy girls!

Brunch with Friends

We had some families over for brunch a few weeks ago and the kids destroyed the house, but played so nicely doing it! They all watched Annie, and at the end of their movie Ella dumped her entire remaining bowl of popcorn on the floor.  Awesome. We are lucky to have met so many wonderful families through the girls' school.

Weekend in Florida

We had a wonderful time in Florida celebrating with Grandma.  We spent time at the playground, went on a birthday shopping spree for Hannah (thank you, grandma!), ate a ton and checked out a new art place.  Hannah made a Hello Kitty sand art bottle and a beautiful necklace.

Ella's Big Weekend

I felt so badly leaving Ella home while Hannah and I went to Florida, but Ella is having the best weekend.  First the daddy daughter dance, then Java Jungle with daddy and her buddy Kendyl followed by a sleepover at Aunt Sari and Uncle Jeff's.  They had dinner, then went to build a bear, home to make brownies (and eat batter) and then she got to watch a movie in their theater with her new build a bear.  We She is never going to want to leave!
