A while back, Ella said she wanted to go visit Grandma Joanie, so she and I headed to Florida over Easter weekend. I was fighting a little cold on the way there, but we got to Florida, swam and went for hibachi. It was a great night! Unfortunately, I woke up on Thursday with a much worse cold and pink eye. Softa came over and went to the pool with grandma and Ella, followed by dinner. I stayed home to rest. By Friday, I was feeling even worse so Softa put me on a z-pack for my horrible sinus infection. Thankfully, by Saturday I was feeling a little better and able to go with Ella and Grandma to the Easter festivities at her club, which as usual were over the top: face painting, airbrush tattoos, bounce house, pony rides, carriage rides, and an Easter egg hunt with unlimited eggs that they continued to put down as the kids collected (6,000 eggs total). Ella quickly filled two bags and had an amazing time. On Sunday we went for a quick swim before heading to the airport. Despite being a low key trip with my many sicknesses, I enjoyed relaxing and Ella had a fantastic time. Even with a delayed flight heading home causing us to sit on the plane for 5 hours, when we landed, Ella said she had the best day and best vacation. Thanks to grandma for hosting us, and Softa for all of her help! I loved getting the special time with Ella who was a great travel companion!

Easter and Mini Shoots
The girls and I decorated Easter eggs with Mina today, and then did mini photo shoots. We also planted our magic beans - the girls can't wait to check tomorrow to see if magic treats grow overnight.

Back to the Slopes (and in the saddle)
The girls have been begging to go skiing again, so we headed to Pine Knob this weekend. Hannah took a lesson, so I didn't see much of her to video tape, but Ella skied with Jordan. She started on the small bunny hill and thought that was too slow so she switched to the bigger one. She skis fast and straight with no turns or stops. She only mowed down one other kid 😄 next lesson is focused on controlled skiing. She does love it though!
Hannah is doing great at the barn and loves Splash. She is starting to work off the lunge line more and more, but last week giant ice blocks were sliding off the arena roof so she stayed on the lunge line because everyone was spooking. Can't wait for the weather to turn so she can get outdoors and maybe even compete in horse shows!
