This weekend was our second and final show of the season with Izzy, and we are just so thrilled with this pony (and our girls)! Ella had her second lead line class and was led by Debbie. She correctly answered "reins" to the question given to her by the judge "What are you holding in your hands?" All of the kids get to pick their ribbon, and she chose a pink ribbon and is so excited to now have two ribbons. Ella spent most of the horse show riding in people's golf carts, playing with the many, many dogs, and visiting with her best buds, the donkeys.
Hannah had an incredible horse show, earning two 2nds and one 5th in crosspole out of 18 riders, and was reserve champion in the pole pile division with two 1sts and four 2nds. Despite some initial show jitters, she and Izzy jumped around great and even cantered most of their courses. We were so thankful to have Maegan take Izzy in the warm up classes to set her up - she rides so beautifully!
Hannah got to "work" the horse show as the ribbon girl, and also got to get meals for the judges. She had such a blast hanging with her barn friends, Kate, Kylie and Ellie, and even talked two different people into giving her a ride on their huge draft horses. I had to drag Hannah home from the horse show each day, and today on the drive home she told me it was "the best weekend ever." I love these wonderful horse show memories!!!
Thanks to Aunt Sara, Unky Ian, Macy, Lilah, Aunt Nancy, Grandma Joanie and Zaydie for coming out to cheer on the girls. They love a crowd :)

Hannah has always been an incredible artist, but her work lately amazes me. Here are a few of her creations from ceramics camp at Cranbrook over the last two weeks.
Ella had such a great group of school friends last year, that we decided to celebrate her birthday early to get the girls all back together one last time before they go to different classrooms next year. Since Ella only had 6 girls in her class, when she asked for a sleepover party we decided to give it a go. Unfortunately, two of her friends were out of town, so we ended up with 3 girls plus Ella and Hannah. The kids all played so nicely, and Ella had a wonderful time. They made their own picture frames, and then did funny photos to go in the frames. After that, we beaded bracelets and cracked open a pinata. Following dinner, the girls decorated their own cupcakes and watched Boss Baby. Two of the girls attempted the sleepover, but only one made it through the night. Ella and her friend Mia watched a second movie and went right to sleep (at 11pm). They were surprisingly lovely this morning, other than literally setting the kitchen on fire heating up chocolate for Ella's new chocolate pen - they set the microwave cook time for 100 minutes and then wandered off. After we cleaned up the smoke damage and aired out the house, we spent the day at the pool with Ella and Mia to escape the smell.
Making frames with dot paints
Crazy dance party that turned into running and jumping onto a pile of pillows and blankets
Silly photo for their frames
Serious photo for their frames
Maybe t-ball isn't her sport? Love the closed eyes.
Cupcake decorating!
Hannah got picked up after cupcakes to go to cruise the Dream Cruise with Grammy Al and Papa Stevy, and took Al's warning to dress warm very seriously. It was in the 70's.
Jordan and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. Time sure does fly when you are having fun! Jordan got me a new camera, and here are the first photos :) We had a wonderful dinner celebrating at Lelli's with Mina and Grandma Joanie, followed by waffles and ice cream cookie sandwiches at Revel Bros. Looking forward to the next 10 and beyond!
