Baby 2 Update - 16 Weeks

I had my 16 week appointment today, and everything looked great.  Baby 2's heart rate was 142, and I'm measuring just right.  I had the second part of my sequential screen, a two part screen that tests for Downs and neural tube defects.  I will get the results by Monday, but the first part of the screen came back and everything looks good. I also scheduled my next ultrasound - two weeks from Friday we will know if Baby 2 is a he or a she!

Baby 2 is getting bigger and stronger, and I have been feeling his/her acrobatics for a few days now.  The movement is so reassuring, definitely my favorite part of pregnancy.

Passover 2011

We have had a wonderful Passover so far!  We started a day early at Grandma Joanie's (Sunday worked out better for the out of towners), and Hannah got all dressed up in her knit dress.  She lasted until 8:30pm, and still didn't want to leave.  Tonight we had a small Seder at our house, with the Bifolcos, Grandma Joanie, Aunt Linda, my mom and the Hays family.  Unfortunately, Charli was sick, so the Pulis' weren't able to join us.  Hannah and Brooke had a blast devouring their Easter baskets from the Hays, and the chocolate covered Matzoh.  They were both racing around the house all night, except when they stopped to eat more sweets.  Hannah and Brooke each found their own Afikomem (in a zip lock bag to reduce crumbs), and they each got a Sesame Street dress up magnet set for finding it.

Happy 60th Great Aunt Linda

We had Aunt Linda's surprise birthday party tonight at Schokolad and Hannah had a blast. She shared dinner with Uncle Mike, then snacked on some chocolates with sprinkles before moving on to the chocolate tasting with Mike's mom, Donna.  Hannah then asked me where the cupcakes were, because in her mind, all birthday parties have cupcakes.  She didn't take it too hard when I told her there was just chocolate... After stuffing herself full of every kind of chocolate there, Hannah said she was ready to go home. She crashed after the sugar rush and went straight to bed.

Morning with Macy

Macy came to play this morning, and the girls had the best time playing piano and jumping on the trampoline.  Hannah also made sure to give her big sister Sadie some love.  Aunt Steph, Uncle Mike and Aunt Linda come in tonight, and we can't wait to see them!

Sick Leave

I apologize for the delay in posting, but this has been quite a week. On Monday I came down with a bug that continued to get worse resulting in a visit to urgent care Thursday night. They are unclear of what i actually have, but the symptoms have been fever, congestion, sore throat, cough, loss of voice, loss of appetite and runny eyes. Turns out the eyes are due to pink eye, lovely, and the rest is either a viral or bacterial infection. My doctor put me on a Z pack today, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow will finally be a better day. On top of the stress of Jordan having to play single parent this week, we also put the house on the market so he has been one busy daddy.

Thanks to all of our family that have watched and had sleepovers with Hannah. I miss her so much, and can't wait to feel better so we can have some QT. She has been a real trooper through all of this.

This pregnancy has been night and day from my pregnancy with Hannah. Could it be boy hormones throwing off my system?

Hibachi and a New Bike Helmet

Hannah has had a little bug, so we stayed in all day yesterday and this morning.  She woke up from her four hour nap this afternoon back to her old self, so we had a nice family night out.  We went for Hannah's favorite, Hibachi, and she had a fantastic time.  There were two other kids at the table to play with, their grandma who took it upon herself to feed Hannah her grandkids' kid's meal, and Hannah even got her own Hibachi chef hat.  After dinner we went to Toys R Us to get her first bike helmet, and when we got home Hannah took her tricycle for a spin.  By the time I thought to video, she was done riding and decided to push her bike home.  Such a wonderful night!
