10 Months

How is Ella just two months away from being a year old?

Here is her 10 month update:
  • Crawls everywhere
  • Pulls to a stand and easily goes from a stand to a sit
  • Cruises a few steps
  • Walks well if you hold her hands
  • Can stand for a short time independently
  • Eats everything you put in front of her
  • Has 4 teeth
  • Her new trick is blowing kisses
  • Mimics words
  • Eye color is still greyish/hazel
Pictures are getting impossible because she won't sit still, and continously tries to rip off the month stickers.  This was the best I could do.

I Love Fridays

We had a great Friday morning.  While Ella took her morning nap, Hannah and I painted a special project for Ella's birthday party.  We then packed a picnic lunch and headed to Springdale Park with Grandma Joanie.  It's a great park, and both girls loved exploring.  Ella refuses to sit still now, and wants to be down on the ground crawling around eating anything she can find.  Grass and sticks are both delicious. She will also pull up on to anything and everything she sees.  She is so busy!

Ella and Sadie

Sadie never liked Hannah as a baby, but she is apparently used to having little ones around now because she seeks out Ella and lies right next to her.  Ella loves Sadie too, and will crawl into her lap, grab a toy and play.  I was making breakfast this morning and came back to find them snuggled up together.

Bubbie / Zaydie Camp

Hannah was at Bubbie / Zaydie camp this weekend with Softa, Zaydie, Lexi and ZZ and she had a blast!  They made tye dye shirts and leggings, played at the beach, made donuts, watched fire works, and made there own candles.  Hannah had such a great time, thank you for taking her Softa and Zaydie!  She can't wait to go back again next year.  Hannah camp home in a rainbow of colors, from her tye dye leggings to her superman ice cream face.

Take Me Out to The Ball Game

We took Hannah to her first Tiger's game with Aunt Steph, Unky Mike and Poppy last night and we all had a great time.  It was 100 degrees outside, but thankfully we had seats in the Champion's Club and only went to the outdoor seating for a few minutes when we got there and at the 7th inning stretch so Hannah could sing Take Me Out to the Ball Game.  Poor Aunt Steph did get locked outside by a devilish little Hannah at one point...

Hannah got a new Tiger's hat (as you can see, she picked it herself) and I painted an Old English D on her cheek with eye liner.  Hannah loved running around the suite and ate herself silly.  Her favorite station was the sundae bar, where she went back for two helpings of crushed oreos.  She would eat the frosting off them and try to give the slobbery cookie pieces away.  Shockingly, there were no takers.  We ended the night with Jordan taking Hannah on the ferris wheel.  It was such a wonderful night, although Hannah did say she prefers hockey games.  We don't blame her, and are excited for her to start hockey this fall.  She apparently still enjoyed baseball though, because she asked Poppy if he'd take her again since she was such a good girl.

Pool Time with Cousin Jordan

Hannah got to meet her cousin Jordan today.  They live in Connecticut, so this was the first time they were able to play together.  Hannah and Jordan had a blast playing in the pool and running through the sprinklers at my cousin Lynne's house.  Ella hung out in the grass while the two big kids soaked each other and ran around.  When she got too hot, she headed in to have lunch with her Great Great Aunt Beb.  It was so nice to catch up with all of our out of town relatives!  Hannah and Ella both immediately crashed when we got home from all of the excitement.

4th of July Week

We have had a great week despite the heat.  We've spent a lot of time at the pool and the beach.  Aunt Steph and Unky Mike came in last night, and Hannah was so excited to see them.  They are staying here, so we have a very full house.  Today we headed to Knollwood for the 4th of July activities, and Hannah got a dinosaur and sword balloon.  After nap, she ran through the sprinklers, while Ella hung out at her laugh and learn table.  She has been full on crawling and cruising for the past week, and is always on the go.  Better late than never!
