Birthday Parties, Bee Stings and the Splash Pad

Today was busy, busy, busy!  We started off the day celebrating Nolan's birthday party at Troy Gymnastics.  Hannah loved catching up with all of her old buddies from Wee Care.

We then headed to Springdale Park to celebrate Carson's first birthday.  The girls played on the playground, jumped in the bounce house, and of course ate birthday cake.  Carson went to town on his smash cake!  Poor Hannah got stung by a bee, but was a trooper and recovered quickly.

After nap, we headed to the splash pad for a picnic dinner with Aunt Debbie, Uncle Scott, Lexi and Zachary.  Ella said the water was freezing, but still had a great time.  Hannah was off and running with the big kids.  What a busy, but perfect, way to spend our 6 year wedding anniversary!

Hannah did Summer Safari Camp at the Zoo with Charli, Roger and Nolan.  Here are the four campers on the last day of camp.

Just Hanging

Tonight we had a great dinner at Salvatore Scallopini's and played at the park with Grandma Joanie and Mina.  The girls had a competition to see who could hang on to the rings longer, and Ella actually won.  My little girl is part monkey!  Future gymnast?

Girls' Weekend

Linda, Sara and I went for a girls weekend in Traverse City and had such a relaxing trip. We shopped, ate a LOT (Amical, Stella, Apache Grill and Melting Pot were the highlights), went to see The English Teacher at the Traverse City Film Festival and had a spa day at Grand Traverse. While we were away, Jordan stayed very busy with the girls.  They went swimming, running, played at the park, hung out with Macy, Lilah and Unky Ian, and went to a birthday party.

Spider-Hannah

We didn't think they'd even let Hannah on this, and certainly didn't think she'd make it to the top.  We were impressed!

Ballet Camp

Hannah went to a week long ballet camp called "Ballet and Books" with Charli and Brooke.  They learned ballet, read ballet books and made ballet art projects every day.  The "recital" was today, and it was pretty impressive for a one week camp!

Cupcakes

Sam came over to hang out with me and the girls tonight and brought over some cupcakes.  Ella ate a little, and then started smearing the frosting all over her face, then her neck, then her shirt, then everywhere! Finally, she reached over to Sam and covered her with frosting.  What a good sport!  Needless to say, Ella and I headed straight for the tub.
