Picture Pile

I have been very delinquent on the blog, sorry Aunt Beb!  We have been having such a fun and packed summer, that I forgot to post.  Here are some updates:

We shaved Jordan's head (the girls helped) to raise money for JDRF - he makes a handsome bald man

It's hard to enjoy summer without ice cream!

Pool party at our neighbors

Playing in corn kernels at the farmer's market

Sisterly love on the swings

Today was Steph's last day for the summer, and we were incredibly lucky to have her with the girls!  She worked with Hannah on reading, and kept the girls very busy all summer.  From mini-golf, to art, to the pool, to the park, to the zoo, to the cider mill, to BounceU, to gymnastics and more, Steph gave the girls an AMAZING summer!   She even made them a memory book of their last three summers together which I know the girls will always cherish.  We will miss her as she heads off to teach elementary ed next year, but are so thankful for the time our family had with Steph.  Those are some very lucky students!

Ella the Diver (or Jumper)

Ella discovered diving boards today, and was a BIG fan.  By the end of the day, she was diving off on her own and swimming to the edge, pulling herself out and jumping off again.  She crashed hard tonight!

Here are a few shots from the Zoo on Friday.  GJ and Mina took Hannah to the simulator ride, while Ella and I hit up her favorite frog on the carousel.

Dinner with The Old Gang

We went to the Hays' for dinner tonight to catch up with the Pulis' while they are home from Italy. The girls were SOOO excited to be back together, and spent much of the night harassing the Harris boys.  It was a great night catching up, and a delicious dinner finished off with smores.

Big kids dinner in the clubhouse
They look surprisingly unhappy to be forced to take a picture before getting to make smores

Up North 2015

We spent our annual up north trip in Traverse City this year with the 4 boltons + Mina.  We spent a lot of time with the Trieus/Websters, and the girls loved hanging out with Avery while Mina and G (Nancy) caught up.  We went to the beach, Smock, Paper, Scissors, the Children's Museum and Gallaghers (a favorite of mine from when I was little).  We ate delicious meals at Amical, Stella and The Franklin.  Hannah devoured two orders of heirloom tomatoes at Stella (at $14 a pop).

Turns out Ella is a championship kite flyer

Not sure what's happening here, but they did this for about 25 minutes

Clearly my kid

Congratulations, Softa, Thank Zoo Party!

We celebrated Softa's retirement at the Zoo tonight and had a wonderful time. The girls spent the night playing with their friends and cousins, while Jordan and I got to catch up with our friends and Linda's patients.  Congratulations to Softa!
