Hannah, Jordan and I are in Florida for a long weekend to meet our friend's new baby. We left Detroit on-time, and were about to land in Fort Lauderdale when they decided the weather was too rough to land. We circled until we were running low on fuel, and were diverted to Miami. We fueled back up and got in line to take off - there were 30 planes in front of us. A few minutes later, they announced that due to the weather, they were not allowing planes to take off. By the time we landed back in Fort Lauderdale, we had been on the plane for over 8 hours! Hannah was a champ, and we now know she is ready to fly to Europe.
We've had a great time so far in Florida. The weather has been beautiful (other than our travel day), and we have spent a lot of time playing outdoors. We went to the park and for a long walk, and daddy got to play 9 holes with Grandma Joanie. Tomorrow we are hoping to go for a swim.
Grandma Joanie saved balloons from her birthday (6 weeks ago) and, even though they were partially deflated, Hannah has been having a blast smashing them around!
