Grandma Joanie's Club
The club has great amenities for Hannah, from the playground, to the kiddie pool and sprinkler park. Unlike the sprinkler parks at home, Hannah has the place pretty much to herself. She had a BLAST and we didn't have to worry about big kids knocking her down.
Golf Cart Rides with Baby
Hannah loves riding the golf cart through the neighborhood, and taking her new baby doll along for the ride. Grandma Joanie got Hannah a little mommy set, complete with crib, high chair, stroller and baby swing. I'm pretty sure that has been the highlight of her visit so far! Last night, she tucked baby into her crib, and then picked her up because she had apparently forgotten to give her a goodnight kiss. She then tucked baby back in again.
Spa Treatment
Grandma Carolyn gave Hannah her first blow dry after her bath, and Hannah thought that was great. I also did Hannah's nails with some non-toxic polish I bought her while we were here and she seems to be enjoying all of the pampering. Unfortunately, all of her time in the pool is ruining her manicure so we may need to do some touch ups soon. You can see her nails in the picture below where she is putting on her blush.
Sugar Sands Carousel
We went back to a great park we visited last year, and again the highlight was the carousel. She took two rides and would have happily gone again and again. They also have an enormous wooden climbing structure which she was excited to explore. We only stayed for a short visit, since all of this activity has worn Hannah out. She has even added a nap back in, so we have been doing two naps a day. Hopefully the transition back to her school schedule won't be too difficult.
Playdate with Jonathan
Hannah got to hang out with our close friends' son Jonathan, and they were adorable together. Jonathan is a year younger than Hannah, but already the same size. We joke that they are bethrothed, so they brought Hannah a bride and groom Mickey and Minnie.
Perfecting Her Swing
We picked daddy up after his golf lesson, and Hannah decided to work on her golf game too. I don't want to brag, but watch out LPGA!
Carnival at the Club
Hannah went to carnival night at the club, and got a balloon dog, won a doggie stuffed animal in a carnival game (with some help from the man running the game), danced to the music and got her first caricature.
Family Party
Each year, we have family and Grandma Joanie's friends over for dinner, and celebrate Hannah's Great Great Aunt Beb's birthday. Hannah wasn't so crazy about all of the new people, but she LOVED the birthday cake. Check out the icing on her forehead.
Lion Country Safari
For our last day in Florida, we headed to Lion Country Safari. This was my favorite Florida activity when I was growing up, and Hannah loved it just as much! First, we drove through the safari section, where animals are all around you and you drive through. Hannah slept through most of the safari, but woke up in time for the rhino to walk right by our car. She thought that was great, but was mad that we didn't let her pet the rhino. Once in the walking section of the zoo, Hannah's favorites were the petting zoo and the rides. She rode the train, the flying elephants and the carousel. As soon as the ride would stop, Hannah would scream more! She rode the train twice, and would have gone 100 times if we let her.
