The Party Continues

After a very late night and an epic over tired Hannah meltdown, the girls slept in and woke up in great moods.  We made lip balms (Fail), and then headed to Creative Art Studios.  Hannah and Charli painted fairies, and Brooke painted a rainbow.  After painting, they each made a rainbow drizzle wax hand.  Hannah and I dropped the girls off at home, and then headed to the Levasseur's gingerbread house party with daddy and Ella.  Ella ate at least three bites for every decoration she added to the house.  They also got to make their own Christmas ornaments this year.  It was a wonderful party, and by 6:15PM, both of my girls were sound asleep.

Hanukkah Gifts from the Girls

Hannah made us a beautiful plate with a family portrait, and Ella made us a Chihuly inspired canvas. They were both so proud of their gifts.

Ella's Chihuly canvas, leaf print in ceramic and Hannah's still life of a pumpkin and gourds done in watercolor.

Birthday Sleepover Party

We decided to celebrate Hannah's birthday early so her buddy Charli would be home from Italy to celebrate with us.  Charli came to pick Hannah up from school, and then Brooke joined us back at the house.  We went to Melting Pot for dinner where the girls colored beautiful picture frames, ate THREE bowls of cheese, chocolate covered strawberries and lots of chocolate.  Our favorite server, Arlyn, was so sweet.  When we arrived, the table was decorated with birthday hats and balloons (that she had bought and brought with her), and then for dessert she brought out 8 Just Baked cupcakes she had picked up for the girls.  She is too good to us, and Hannah told Arlyn it was one of her best birthdays ever!  After dinner, we celebrated Hanukkah with all three girls (Ella was at the Hays with Josephine and Kendyl).  They all got glitter tattoo sets and are covered in glitter.  They are now watching a Christmas movie before hopefully going to sleep.  Tomorrow, the fun continues with breakfast, making our own lip balms and a trip to Creative Art Studios.

Two Ariel's and a Hannah, the basement looks like a hurricane went through and they were only down there 30 minutes.

Setting her hair on fire while blowing out her candles.

Arlyn made personalized plates for Charli and Brooke too.

The girls decided to share Brooke's coat and walked all the way to the car like this.

Charli and Brooke each lit their own menorahs.

Hannah was SO excited for her Rainbow Loom and many wonderful crafts from Charli and Brooke.

Showing off their glitter.  I asked the girls if they thought their mommies would be mad at me for covering them in glitter, and Brooke said her mommy would DEFINITELY be mad!  She proceeded to lecture me as if she was Stef.

Movie night!

First Hanukkah Celebration

We celebrated Hanukkah today with the Gluck/Kaplan/Fried families and as usual everyone was so generous with the girls.  It took two cars to get all of the gifts home!  Even Barney and Floyd got a new toy, mommy got new Madewell clothes and a throw, and daddy got Lululemon gear.  Hannah and Ella got toys galore and an entire wardrobe of Splendid clothes.  These are going to be two well dressed girls!  When it was time to leave, Ella wasn't ready so she stayed the afternoon watching Frozen snuggling with Papa Stevy.  Now Hannah is back over there for dinner.  We are lucky to have such a big and loving family for our girls.

Angel Tree Event

This year, the Beckers and Boltons sponsored a family for the Holidays - The Kings.  The Kings are a single parent family with 4 kids and one adopted nephew.  The mom is facing some challenging financial times raising 5 children while battling cervical cancer.  The majority of their Christmas lists included necessities like blankets, towels, comforters, coats and boots.  Jennifer, Softa, Mina and I were very busy shopping and were able to complete all of their lists.  We got to meet the family yesterday at a luncheon where the gifts were exchanged.  They were a wonderful family with ambitious children.  The oldest girl, pictured with Hannah, is graduating high school this year and wants to attend Vanderbilt or Grand Valley to become a pediatrician.  The oldest boy (the adopted nephew) competes in chess tournaments around the country.  What an amazing experience!  We wish the King family a very happy holiday, and are thankful to have been a part of it!

Roeper Fever

The girls and I went with Mina to Roeper Fever and I realized I should attend more Roeper sporting events.  Within minutes, both of the girls were off with teachers, friends and upper classman while I sat back and relaxed!  We played Cranbrook in 4 games, JV and Varsity boys and girls.  Each student got a free Roeper Fever shirt, there was a pizza dinner and then a player meet and greet.

Tooth #3!

Hannah lost tooth number three today, and the Tooth Fairy left her some glitter money.  Hannah is bummed that the tooth wouldn't stay in until FL where she would have likely received a bigger payout from grandma!  She did hit up Uncle Ian today though.
