Angel Tree Event

This year, the Beckers and Boltons sponsored a family for the Holidays - The Kings.  The Kings are a single parent family with 4 kids and one adopted nephew.  The mom is facing some challenging financial times raising 5 children while battling cervical cancer.  The majority of their Christmas lists included necessities like blankets, towels, comforters, coats and boots.  Jennifer, Softa, Mina and I were very busy shopping and were able to complete all of their lists.  We got to meet the family yesterday at a luncheon where the gifts were exchanged.  They were a wonderful family with ambitious children.  The oldest girl, pictured with Hannah, is graduating high school this year and wants to attend Vanderbilt or Grand Valley to become a pediatrician.  The oldest boy (the adopted nephew) competes in chess tournaments around the country.  What an amazing experience!  We wish the King family a very happy holiday, and are thankful to have been a part of it!
