Ella Got BOTH Ears Pierced

Starting at age 4, we asked Ella on her birthday if she wanted to pierce her ears, since that's when Hannah pierced her ears. Each year, Ella said NO. This year, I didn't bother asking, so of course she then asked to have them pierced.

We got to Claire's and she was super nervous, so I kept asking if she was changing her mind but she said, "I'm so scared but I'm doing this!!!" If only that confidence lasted after the first ear was pierced. She sobbed and sobbed, and then sobbed a little more, all while clutching her yet to be pierced lobe. She protected that lobe with all of her might, until the rainbow haired and very pierced employee convinced her she was giving her a magic bear that reduced pain when being pierced. For some odd reason, Ella trusted this pierced lady and is now the proud owner of TWO pierced lobes. The tears finally dried up when we reached her reward cookie for only mostly losing her mind. So glad we are done with ear piercings!
